11 July 1962 – The Beatles live: Cavern Club, Liverpool (Evening)
The Beatles performed an evening show at the Cavern Club in Liverpool. Pete Best was still the drummer; Ringo Starr would replace him the following month. The Cavern Club was the crucible of The Beatles’ early career, and their residency there between 1961 and 1963 remains one of the most celebrated chapters in rock history.

11 July 1963 – The Beatles live: Winter Gardens, Margate
The Beatles performed at the Winter Gardens in Margate, Kent, as part of their summer season shows. By July 1963 the group were the biggest act in Britain, and their seaside summer residencies drew enormous crowds.

11 July 1964 – The Beatles on Summer Spin (Thank Your Lucky Stars)
The Beatles appeared on the ITV pop music programme Thank Your Lucky Stars in a Summer Spin special. By mid-1964 The Beatles were at the height of Beatlemania, with A Hard Day’s Night about to be released.

11 July 1968 – John Lennon is Best Man at Alexis Mardas’ Wedding
John Lennon served as best man at the wedding of Alexis ‘Magic Alex’ Mardas, the Greek inventor and Apple Electronics head who had become part of The Beatles’ inner circle. The wedding took place during one of the most turbulent periods in the band’s history, as the White Album sessions were underway at Abbey Road.

11 July 1973 – Ringo Starr Records Have You Seen My Baby & Devil Woman
Ringo Starr recorded 'Have You Seen My Baby' and 'Devil Woman' during sessions for his Ringo album — the most commercially successful solo album by any Beatle at the time of its release. The Ringo sessions were notable for reuniting all four Beatles in the studio, albeit not simultaneously.

11 July 1974 – Wings Record in Nashville: Bridge Over The River Suite, Wide Prairie & Send Me The Heart
Wings worked on three songs at Sound Shop Studio in Nashville — 'Bridge Over The River Suite' (later the b-side of 'Walking In The Park With Eloise' by The Country Hams), 'Wide Prairie' (later released on Linda McCartney’s posthumous solo album), and 'Send Me The Heart' (later released on Denny Laine’s 1980 album Japanese Tears). The session was not without incident: guitarist Jimmy McCulloch walked off and later returned drunk, throwing a Coca-Cola bottle at the studio glass.

11 July 1990 – Paul McCartney live: Giants Stadium, East Rutherford
Paul McCartney performed at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey — the 94th date of his 1989–90 World Tour and the second of two consecutive nights at the venue. The 34-song set included 'Strawberry Fields Forever', 'Help!', 'Live And Let Die', and 'The End'. McCartney returned to Giants Stadium on 11 June 1993 during the New World Tour.

11 July 1992 – Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band live: Tanzbrunnen, Cologne
Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band — featuring Joe Walsh, Nils Lofgren, Todd Rundgren, Dave Edmunds, Timothy B Schmit, Burton Cummings, Tim Cappello, and Zak Starkey — performed at the Tanzbrunnen open-air venue in Cologne, Germany, the 28th show of their 62-date 1992 tour.

11 July 2006 – Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band live: State Theatre, Easton
Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band — featuring Billy Squier, Richard Marx, Edgar Winter, Rod Argent, Hamish Stuart, and Sheila E — performed at the State Theatre in Easton, Pennsylvania, the 18th show of their 25-date 2006 North American tour. Rod Argent, founder of the Zombies, brought 'She’s Not There' and 'Time Of The Season' to the setlist.

11 July 2008 – Sgt Pepper Drum Head Sells for £541,250 at Christie’s
The bass drum head bearing the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band lettering — designed by fairground artist Joe Ephgrave in the drop-T logo style and used on Ringo Starr’s Ludwig drum kit for the 1967 album cover — sold for £541,250 ($1.07 million) at Christie’s in London, nearly four times its estimate. The same sale saw John Lennon’s handwritten 'Give Peace A Chance' lyrics fetch £421,250.

11 July 2008 – Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band live: The Colosseum, Windsor
Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band — featuring Billy Squier, Colin Hay, Hamish Stuart, Gary Wright, Edgar Winter, and Gregg Bissonette — performed at The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, the 15th show of their 29-date 2008 North American tour.

11 July 2009 – Paul McCartney live: Halifax Common, Nova Scotia
Paul McCartney opened his Summer Live ’09 Tour at Halifax Common in Halifax, Nova Scotia, performing to 26,504 fans for approximately two hours and 40 minutes. Members of the 78th Highlanders Pipe Band joined him on stage for a rare live performance of 'Mull Of Kintyre'. McCartney also started 'Paperback Writer' in the wrong key, and invited a fan on stage to sign her arm for a tattoo.

Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band — featuring Steve Lukather, Gregg Rolie, Todd Rundgren, Richard Page, Mark Rivera, Warren Ham, and Gregg Bissonette — performed at the USANA Health Sciences Amphitheatre in West Valley City, Utah, the 20th show of their 26-date 2012 North American tour. The setlist included 'Rosanna' and 'Africa' (Lukather), 'Black Magic Woman' and 'Evil Ways' (Rolie), and 'I Saw The Light' (Rundgren).

Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band — featuring Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Gregg Rolie, Graham Gouldman, Warren Ham, and Gregg Bissonette — performed at the Parco della Musica in Rome, Italy, the 23rd show of their 44-date 2018 tour and the final date of the European leg. Graham Gouldman of 10cc made his All-Starr Band debut on this tour, bringing 'Dreadlock Holiday', 'I’m Not In Love', and 'The Things We Do For Love' to the setlist.
