On This Day in Beatles History: Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band Live at Parco della Musica, Rome – 11 July 2018
On 11 July 2018, Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band performed at the Parco della Musica in Rome, Italy. It was the 23rd show of the 13th All-Starr Band’s 44-date tour of Europe and North America, and the final date of the European leg before the tour resumed in the United States in September. This was Ringo’s second show at the Parco della Musica, having previously performed there on 4 July 2011.
The 13th All-Starr Band
- Ringo Starr — vocals, drums, percussion, keyboards
- Steve Lukather — vocals, guitar
- Colin Hay — vocals, guitar, harmonica
- Gregg Rolie — vocals, keyboards
- Graham Gouldman — vocals, bass guitar, acoustic guitar
- Warren Ham — vocals, saxophone, harmonica, flute, percussion, keyboards
- Gregg Bissonette — vocals, drums, trumpet
The 2018 lineup introduced Graham Gouldman — the British singer-songwriter and founding member of 10cc — as a new addition to the All-Starr Band. Gouldman brought a remarkable songwriting catalogue to the revue: in addition to 10cc’s own hits, he wrote 'For Your Love' for the Yardbirds, 'Bus Stop' and 'Look Through Any Window' for the Hollies, and 'No Milk Today' for Herman’s Hermits. His 10cc songs 'Dreadlock Holiday', 'I’m Not In Love', and 'The Things We Do For Love' gave the 2018 setlist a distinctly British pop flavour. Steve Lukather and Gregg Rolie returned from the 12th All-Starr Band, as did Colin Hay and Warren Ham. Gregg Bissonette continued as the second drummer.
