On Wednesday 9 July 2008, Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band performed at the Northern Lights Theater at the Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was the 14th show of the tenth All-Starr Band's 29-date North American tour, which ran from June to August 2008.
The Tenth All-Starr Band
- Ringo Starr – vocals, drums, percussion
- Billy Squier – vocals, guitar, bass guitar
- Colin Hay – vocals, guitar (Men at Work)
- Hamish Stuart – vocals, bass guitar, guitar (Average White Band)
- Gary Wright – vocals, keyboards
- Edgar Winter – vocals, keyboards, saxophone
- Gregg Bissonette – vocals, drums
Colin Hay was the Scottish-born Australian singer and guitarist best known as the frontman of Men at Work, whose 'Down Under' and 'Who Can It Be Now?' had been global hits in the early 1980s. Gary Wright was the British-American keyboardist whose 'Dream Weaver' (1975) and 'Love Is Alive' (1976) had made him one of the defining voices of mid-1970s soft rock – and who had a long personal friendship with George Harrison. Hamish Stuart, returning from the 2006 lineup, brought his Average White Band pedigree and his experience from Paul McCartney's 1989–90 World Tour. Edgar Winter also returned from 2006. Gregg Bissonette, a highly regarded session drummer, provided the second kit alongside Ringo.

'Liverpool 8' was the title track from Ringo's 2008 album of the same name – a reflective, autobiographical song about his childhood in the Dingle area of Liverpool. Its inclusion in the set gave the Milwaukee audience a direct connection to Ringo's origins, a counterpoint to the rock and roll energy of the rest of the show.
Gary Wright's three featured songs – 'Dream Weaver', 'Your Eyes', and 'Love Is Alive' – reflected his unusually strong showing in the 2008 lineup. Wright's friendship with George Harrison, who had produced his 1970 album Footprint, gave him a particular resonance in the All-Starr Band context. Colin Hay's two Men at Work classics – 'Down Under' and 'Who Can It Be Now?' – were among the most recognisable songs in the set for American audiences. Hamish Stuart's 'Pick Up The Pieces' – the Average White Band's 1974 funk instrumental – and 'Work To Do' gave the set its most groove-oriented moments.
The set closed with 'With A Little Help From My Friends' and 'Give Peace A Chance' – the latter a John Lennon composition that Ringo had performed at the Montreal bed-in recording in 1969 and which had become a regular All-Starr Band closer.
