Beyond Toto, Lukather was one of the most prolific session guitarists in American music history, appearing on recordings by Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Boz Scaggs, and hundreds of others. His session work for McCartney included the Tug of War album (1982).

Gregg Rolie โ€” born in Seattle, Washington on 17 June 1947 โ€” was the original vocalist and keyboardist of Santana, co-founding the group with Carlos Santana in 1966. He sang lead on 'Evil Ways', 'Black Magic Woman', 'Gypsy Queen', and 'Oye Cรณmo Va' โ€” four of Santana's most celebrated recordings. Rolie later co-founded Journey in 1973, singing lead on their early albums before leaving in 1980. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Santana in 1998.

Todd Rundgren โ€” born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania on 22 June 1948 โ€” was one of the most versatile and influential figures in American rock, equally celebrated as a performer, songwriter, and producer. As a solo artist he scored hits including 'Hello It's Me' and 'I Saw The Light'. As a producer he worked with Hall & Oates, Meat Loaf (Bat Out of Hell), XTC, and many others. 'Bang The Drum All Day' and 'Love Is The Answer' featured in the All-Starr setlist. Rundgren was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.

Richard Page was a returning member from the 2008 and 2010 All-Starr Bands, the vocalist and bassist of Mr. Mister, whose 'Broken Wings' (1985) and 'Kyrie' (1986) both reached number one in the US. Mark Rivera was also a returning member, a multi-instrumentalist long associated with Billy Joel's band. Warren Ham was a multi-instrumentalist who had worked with Toto and Kansas.
