On 3 August 2019, Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band performed at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Illinois — the 14th show of the 14th All-Starr Band's 34-date tour of Asia and North America, which ran from March to September 2019. This was the first of two consecutive nights at the Ravinia Festival; the band returned the following evening on 4 August 2019. Ringo Starr had previously performed at the Ravinia Festival on 5 July 1995.

The 2019 line-up featured Steve Lukather (Toto), Colin Hay (Men at Work), Gregg Rolie (Santana, Journey), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), Warren Ham, and Gregg Bissonette on drums alongside Ringo Starr on vocals, drums, percussion and piano. The presence of Gregg Rolie — a founding member of both Santana and Journey — gave the band an exceptionally strong keyboard and vocal presence.
