Friday 27 October 2017 | Live concert | Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band performed at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on 27 October 2017. It was the seventh concert of their 21-date autumn US tour and the seventh of eight non-consecutive nights at the resort.
The evening brought Ringo’s Beatles songs and solo favourites together with performances led by Steve Lukather, Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie and Richard Page. Give More Love, the title track of Ringo’s recently released album, added a contemporary thread to the programme.

Eight Las Vegas nights open the tour
The tour began with eight shows at Planet Hollywood rather than moving immediately from city to city. The residency dates were 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 24, 27 and 28 October.
Our article on the 24 October concert covers the sixth performance. Returning on the 27th brought the engagement to its penultimate night, with one final Las Vegas show before the travelling dates began.
After 28 October, the itinerary continued to El Paso and Austin, then through Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and the eastern United States. The final show was in Newark on 16 November.
Give More Love on stage
Ringo’s album Give More Love was released on 15 September 2017, shortly before the tour. The official album announcement also set out the autumn touring plans and returning All-Starr musicians.
The title song appeared in the Las Vegas set after Black Magic Woman and Gypsy Queen, before Back Off Boogaloo. Its presence linked the familiar repertoire with Ringo’s current recording work.
The programme continued to reach back through several decades. Matchbox opened the evening, It Don’t Come Easy followed, and later solo favourites included Photograph and Back Off Boogaloo. Beatles selections included Boys, What Goes On, Yellow Submarine, I Wanna Be Your Man and Act Naturally.
The seven-piece touring lineup
Ringo’s official autumn tour announcement identifies the returning musicians, including Warren Ham. The lineup was:
| Musician | Concert role |
|---|---|
| Ringo Starr | Vocals and drums, leading the Beatles and solo selections |
| Steve Lukather | Guitar and vocals; Rosanna and Hold the Line |
| Todd Rundgren | Vocals, guitar and additional instrumental roles; I Saw the Light, Bang the Drum All Day and Love Is the Answer |
| Gregg Rolie | Organ, keyboards and vocals; Evil Ways, Black Magic Woman, Gypsy Queen and Oye Cómo Va |
| Richard Page | Bass and vocals; Kyrie and Broken Wings |
| Warren Ham | Saxophone and additional instrumental and vocal support |
| Gregg Bissonette | Drums and vocal support |
The shared spotlight gave the concert its All-Starr character. Ringo’s songs returned between the other featured singers’ performances, with the ensemble supporting each change of lead voice.

Planet Hollywood: the concert location
The eight opening performances took place in the PH Showroom at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, 3667 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV 89109. The map targets the showroom and resort address, rather than Las Vegas generally. The PH Showroom should not be confused with the resort’s separate larger theatre.

The same date across three All-Starr years
Ringo’s 27 October touring history also includes Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh in 2015 and Fukuoka Sunpalace in Japan in 2016. These concerts connect three different itineraries while showing how the featured performers and Ringo’s repertoire carried forward.
Las Vegas in 2017 added Give More Love to that continuing story. The residency format gave the tour a different opening shape, with eight performances in one city before the band began travelling between venues.
