The autumn tour reaches Pittsburgh
The 2015 itinerary had begun in Bossier City in February, travelling through the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America before a second run in October. The autumn concerts crossed western North America and Canada before reaching the eastern United States.
Pittsburgh followed Foxwoods in Ledyard on 24 October and the State Theatre in New Brunswick on 25 October. After Heinz Hall, only Baltimore, Upper Darby and Brooklyn remained.
Ringo’s message the following day celebrated the Pittsburgh evening and sent peace and love to those who had attended. The concert’s closing move from With a Little Help From My Friends into a Give Peace a Chance chorus reflected that familiar theme.
The 12th All-Starr Band
The touring lineup brought together seven musicians, with lead vocals shared across the group. Warren Ham was part of the 2015 band, alongside Ringo, Steve Lukather, Gregg Rolie, Todd Rundgren, Richard Page and Gregg Bissonette.
| Musician | Instruments and concert role |
|---|---|
| Ringo Starr | Vocals, drums, percussion and keyboards; Beatles songs and solo favourites |
| Steve Lukather | Guitar and vocals; Rosanna, Africa and Hold the Line |
| Gregg Rolie | Organ, keyboards and vocals; Evil Ways, Black Magic Woman, Gypsy Queen and Oye Cómo Va |
| Todd Rundgren | Vocals, guitar, harmonica, bass, percussion and keyboards; I Saw the Light, Bang the Drum All Day and Love Is the Answer |
| Richard Page | Bass, acoustic guitar and vocals; Kyrie, You Are Mine and Broken Wings |
| Warren Ham | Saxophone, keyboards and vocals |
| Gregg Bissonette | Drums, percussion and vocals |
The shared spotlight is central to the All-Starr format. Ringo remained the host and focal point, but the running order repeatedly moved to another singer before returning to his own repertoire.
Steve Lukather’s Rosanna, Africa and Hold the Line connect this concert with Toto merchandise at Wonderhaul. Gregg Rolie’s featured songs draw on his Santana years; explore the Santana collection at our sister store. Rolie was also a founding member of Journey, whose separate catalogue is represented in Wonderhaul’s Journey merchandise collection; his songs in this set were Santana selections, not Journey songs.
Ringo’s Beatles songs and solo recordings
Matchbox opened the evening, followed by It Don’t Come Easy and Island in the Sun. Later Beatles selections included Boys, Don’t Pass Me By, Yellow Submarine, I Wanna Be Your Man and Act Naturally.
You’re Sixteen, I’m the Greatest and Photograph represented other familiar parts of Ringo’s solo catalogue. The combination allowed the show to move from early rock ’n’ roll and Beatles singalongs into the music he recorded after the group.
