The New Remix

All formats feature a new remix by Paul Hicks, executive produced by Dhani Harrison:

"Since the 50th anniversary stereo mix release of the title track to my father's legendary All Things Must Pass album in 2020, my dear pal Paul Hicks and I have continued to dig through mountains of tapes to restore and present the rest of this newly remixed and expanded edition of the album you now see and hear before you."

— Dhani Harrison

Harrison had long expressed a desire to remix the original album, which had been produced by Phil Spector using his characteristic 'Wall of Sound' technique. The 50th anniversary remix represented the fulfilment of that ambition, carried out posthumously by his son and a trusted engineer.

The Album: All Things Must Pass

All Things Must Pass was George Harrison's third solo album, released on 27 November 1970 as a triple LP on Apple Records. Produced by Harrison and Phil Spector and recorded at Abbey Road Studios between May and October 1970, it was the first solo album by a former Beatle to reach number one in both the UK and the US. The sessions featured Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Klaus Voormann, Gary Wright, Leon Russell, Dave Mason, and Pete Drake.

Klaus Voormann and the Cover

Klaus Voormann — the German musician and artist who had designed the cover of Revolver (1966), for which he won a Grammy Award — contributed a limited edition illustration to the Uber Deluxe box set. He had played bass on the original All Things Must Pass sessions.

Friar Park and the Oak Bookmark

The wooden bookmark was made from a felled oak tree from the grounds of Friar Park — George Harrison's Victorian Gothic estate in Henley-on-Thames, which he had purchased in 1970 and devoted much of his later life to restoring and gardening.
