Tour Context
The 1973 UK Tour marked a pivotal moment in Wings' evolution as a live band. Coming off the success of Red Rose Speedway and the Bond theme Live And Let Die, the tour demonstrated McCartney's commitment to building Wings as a credible touring act. The Hammersmith Odeon dates in July were particularly significant, representing Wings' first major London shows.
