Ringo Starr Announces New Album: Long Long Road

Tuesday 3 March 2026 | Press release, Ringo Starr

Ringo Starr has announced his 22nd solo studio album, Long Long Road, due for release on 24 April 2026. The 10-track album is co-written and co-produced by T Bone Burnett, alongside Daniel Tashian and Bruce Sugar.

The project features guest appearances from Sheryl Crow, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Sarah Jarosz, and St. Vincent, continuing Starr's recent focus on country and Americana-influenced collaborations.

The lead single, It's Been Too Long, features vocal contributions from Molly Tuttle and Sarah Jarosz and serves as the first preview of the album's Nashville- and Los Angeles-recorded sessions.

The album continues Starr's collaboration with producer T Bone Burnett following the success of 2025's Look Up, which marked a major commercial and chart resurgence in Starr's solo career.

Recording sessions featured a core group of musicians informally known as “The Texans,” including Paul Franklin, David Mansfield, Dennis Crouch, Daniel Tashian, Rory Hoffman, Patrick Warren, and Colin Linden.

Starr described the album as a reflection of his musical journey and influences, rooted in country traditions and shaped by decades of collaboration, including references to Carl Perkins and early Beatles-era inspirations.
