On Tuesday 9 July 2013, Paul McCartney performed at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, to an audience of 36,278 fans. It was the 18th show of the Out There Tour, which ran for 91 dates across May 2013 to October 2015. McCartney had previously performed at Fenway Park on 5 and 6 August 2009, and would return on 17 July 2016 for the One On One Tour, and on 7 and 8 June 2022 for the Got Back Tour.

- 'Carry That Weight'
- 'The End'
The 38-song set was a characteristically comprehensive survey of McCartney's career. 'Here Today' – the song McCartney wrote for John Lennon after his death in 1980 – was performed as a solo acoustic tribute. 'Something' was performed on ukulele, as McCartney had taken to doing in tribute to George Harrison, who had given him the instrument. 'Helter Skelter' – one of the heaviest songs in the Beatles catalogue – provided a dramatic contrast to the acoustic mid-section. The show closed with the Abbey Road medley of 'Golden Slumbers', 'Carry That Weight', and 'The End'.
'My Valentine' and 'Nineteen Hundred And Eighty-Five' were from McCartney's recent output – the former from his 2012 album Kisses on the Bottom, the latter a Wings classic from Band on the Run. 'Mrs Vandebilt' was another Band on the Run track, rarely performed live. 'Another Day' – McCartney's first solo single, from 1971 – was a welcome inclusion.
The Out There Tour
The Out There Tour was Paul McCartney's most extensive solo touring campaign, running for 91 dates across May 2013 to October 2015. It covered Brazil, the United States, Canada, Poland, Italy, Austria, Japan, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, South Korea, England, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Firefly, Roskilde, and Lollapalooza.
The Fenway Park show on 9 July 2013 came during the tour's first North American leg, between the European dates in June and further North American stadium shows in July.
