The band’s equipment began arriving at the stadium on Tuesday 10 April. Around 50,000 tickets, priced from $50–$800, sold out in just two days. The first 28,000 tickets sold out online in 45 minutes.
Soundcheck moment
During soundcheck, McCartney invited a two-year-old fan named Ichiro onto the stage, where he joined the band for a performance of “Get Back”. Ichiro had travelled from Argentina with his parents and wore a Sgt Pepper-style outfit while holding a replica Höfner bass guitar.
