Paul McCartney Announces New Album: The Boys Of Dungeon Lane
Thursday 26 March 2026 | Paul McCartney, Press release
Paul McCartney has announced details of his 18th solo studio album, The Boys Of Dungeon Lane, due for release on 29 May 2026. The record marks his first album of new material since 2020's McCartney III.
The lead single is Days We Left Behind — a memory song rooted in Liverpool, Speke, and the streets around McCartney's childhood home at Forthlin Road. The song dates back to a 1991 demo called 'In Liverpool' and became the origin story for the album's title and concept. Read the full story behind 'Days We Left Behind'.
Track 10, Home To Us, is a duet with Ringo Starr — released as a single on 8 May 2026 and the first ever standalone duet between the two surviving Beatles.
In the official press release, McCartney describes the record as a deeply personal reflection on memory, childhood, and identity: “This is very much a memory song for me… I was thinking just that, about the days I left behind…”
