On 1 May 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono completed the final mixing session for John And Yoko at EMI Studios, Abbey Road. The piece formed the entirety of side one of their experimental album Wedding Album.
The session took place in the control room of Studio Three and was overseen by balance engineer Jeff Jarratt.

This third and final mixing session ran from 7:00pm to 10:45pm, during which the definitive version of John And Yoko was created.
Earlier mixes had been completed on 22 April 1969, immediately following the recording session, and again on 26 April. However, further refinement was required before a final master was approved.
