9 March 1965 – The Beatles Complete Final Day of Filming Help! in the Bahamas
On Tuesday 9 March 1965, The Beatles completed their final day of location filming in the Bahamas for their second feature film, Help!. The production returned to Paradise Island to capture remaining exterior material, bringing to a close more than two weeks of Caribbean shooting that had begun on 23 February 1965.

9 March 1967 – The Beatles Begin Recording 'Getting Better' for Sgt Pepper
On 9 March 1967, The Beatles began work on the song 'Getting Better' during the recording sessions for their landmark album Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The session took place in Studio Two at EMI Studios, Abbey Road, with producer George Martin overseeing the recording. Seven takes of the rhythm track were recorded, featuring Paul McCartney on rhythm guitar and guide vocal, Ringo Starr on drums, and George Martin on electric pianette.
