The Beatles performed their first concert in Luton, Bedfordshire, on 17 April 1963 at the Majestic Ballroom on Mill Street. The venue later became a bingo hall before being destroyed by fire in 1982.

This appearance marked the first of three visits to Luton. The group later returned to perform at the Odeon Cinema on 6 September 1963, and the Ritz Cinema on 4 November 1964.

A handwritten setlist for the show by Paul McCartney was auctioned by Bonhams in London on 28 October 2021, offering a rare insight into the band’s live repertoire during early Beatlemania.
