Thursday 25th February 1965 – Day 3 of Filming
On Thursday 25th February 1965, The Beatles continued location shooting for their second feature film, Help!, on New Providence Island in the Bahamas.
This marked the third day of filming in Nassau, following the production's start on 23rd February. The day's shoot ran from 8:30am to 5:30pm, maintaining the tight daytime schedule typical of the Bahamas location work.
Return to Interfield Road, Nassau
The production returned to Interfield Road, where filming had also taken place the previous day. A number of exterior sequences were captured in this area, forming part of the film's increasingly chaotic chase narrative centred on Ringo's character.
The Bahamas schedule focused heavily on outdoor action scenes before the production returned to the UK for studio work.
Individual Filming Locations – 25th February 1965
Bahamas Softball Association Stadium
John Lennon and Ringo Starr were filmed at the stadium of the Bahamas Softball Association.
These scenes contributed to the comic pursuit sequences that drive much of Help!'s plot.
Lime Quarry Caves
Paul McCartney filmed sequences at lime quarry caves in Nassau.
The rugged quarry setting added visual contrast to the otherwise tropical aesthetic of the Bahamas shoot and reinforced the adventure-comedy tone of the film.
