On 7th March 1999, Ringo Starr and the Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band performed at the Berkeley Community Theatre in Berkeley, USA.

The concert marked the 17th show of the band's 1999 US tour, which ran for 30 dates across the United States during February and March 1999.

The Fifth All-Starr Band Line-Up

The tour featured the fifth incarnation of Ringo's All-Starr Band, continuing his concept of assembling a rotating lineup of well-known musicians who each perform their own classic songs during the show.

The 1999 lineup included:

  • Gary Brooker – vocals, keyboards, organ
  • Jack Bruce – vocals, bass, keyboards

The show traditionally closed with With a Little Help from My Friends, encouraging the audience to sing along to one of Ringo's most beloved Beatles performances.

Part of the 1999 US Tour

The Berkeley concert came shortly after two nights at Konocti Harbor Resort and before the tour continued through cities including Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orlando.

By the late 1990s, the All-Starr Band format had become a hugely popular touring concept, giving audiences the chance to experience multiple classic rock artists performing their biggest songs in a single show.
