On 6th March 1999, Ringo Starr and his Ringo Starr & His All‑Starr Band performed at Konocti Harbor Resort in Kelseyville, California.

The concert marked the 16th show of the band's 1999 US tour and the second of two consecutive nights at the lakeside venue. The tour itself ran for 30 dates across the United States during February and March 1999.

The Fifth All-Starr Band Line-Up

The 1999 tour featured the fifth incarnation of the All-Starr Band, continuing Ringo's concept of assembling a rotating lineup of well-known musicians who each perform their own hits during the show.

The lineup included:

  • Ringo Starr – vocals, drums, percussion
  • Todd Rundgren – vocals, guitar, percussion
  • Gary Brooker – vocals, keyboards, organ
  • Jack Bruce – vocals, bass, keyboards
  • Timmy Cappello – vocals, saxophone, keyboards, harmonica, guitar
  • Simon Kirke – vocals, drums

The format of the All-Starr Band concerts allowed each member to step forward and perform signature songs from their own careers, making every show a celebration of classic rock history.

The 1999 US Tour

The Kelseyville concerts were part of a 30-date North American tour that began in February 1999 and visited cities across the United States.

Highlights included performances in:

  • New York City
  • Chicago
  • Las Vegas
  • Los Angeles
  • Orlando

The tour showcased Ringo's enduring appeal and the popularity of the All-Starr Band concept, which had first begun in 1989.

A Celebration of Rock History

By the late 1990s, the All-Starr Band had become one of the most distinctive touring projects in classic rock. Rather than focusing solely on his own catalogue, Ringo created a collaborative stage show where each musician contributed their own signature songs.

The performance on 6th March 1999 at Konocti Harbor captured that spirit perfectly β€” a night where Beatles classics, British blues rock, and American pop hits all shared the same stage.
